WIGGLE, WIGGLE. Does your car seat have too much movement?

Car seats and capsules should have LESS than 2.5cm of movement when wiggled at the belt/isofix path.

If your seat has isofix, the isofix indicators should remain FULLY green when you give the seat a little wiggle near the isofix path. (NEVER use both isofix and seatbelt at the same time) If your seat is installed using the seatbelt ensure as much slack is removed from the lap portion of the belt. You may need to purchase an additional locking device if the car seat/capsule doesn't come with one or your seatbelts don't have inbuilt locking.

NEVER wiggle the carseat from where the head would sit. This should always have some movement to prevent the child's head from absorbing most of the impact in an impact.

If in doubt book in to get your seat checked.
